INVESCO LEISURE FUND NOW AVAILABLE FOR PLACEMENT IN VARIABLE PRODUCTS
Denver, CO - September 27, 2001 - INVESCO Funds Group announced today that it
has added the INVESCO Leisure Fund to its list of variable insurance funds
(VIF) and it is now available for placement in annuity products. "We are
pleased to provide investors another vehicle in which to invest in this
dynamic sector*," said Tom Kolbe, Senior Vice President and National Sales
Manager for INVESCO Funds Group.
The INVESCO Leisure Fund seeks long-term capital growth by investing
primarily in companies related to or involved in leisure activities. Managed
since 1996 by Mark Greenberg, who has nearly 20 years experience in the
leisure sector, the fund is not as narrowly focused as some sector funds, as
its holdings are spread across numerous leisure-related industries.
Recognizing the rapid growth in variable annuities, INVESCO Funds has
dedicated an institutional sales team to pursue this business. The team is
tasked with servicing existing partners and creating new relationships in the
sub-advisory and insurance trust arena. Current clients include Manulife
Financial, PacLife and American Skandia.
