| Who is this guy? | Steve Norwitz, Vice President of T. Rowe Price | | How long has he been at his job? | Steve has been heading up T. Rowe Price's public relations department ever since 1977. Prior to that he was a reporter for the Baltimore News American first covering government politics, then he went back to college, earned his Master's Degree in Journalism, started covering business, loved it, then joined T. Rowe Price. So not only is he an old pro in the biz, but is also highly respected.
"When I first started, the company had 6 mutual funds with about $2 billion in assets in them and $4 billion in separate accounts, " says Norwitz." Today, we have over 80 funds and $180 billion under management." | Anything interesting about him? | Plenty, in fact I'm not sure when he ever sleeps. Outside of his daily job, Steve's into physical stuff like kayaking, mountain biking and hiking. Then there's the theater; he supporting four different theater groups and three different symphonies in the Baltimore area. Oh, and did I mention he also loves to travel and is learning the piano? You go, Steve. | | When was the interview conducted? | Dec. 26, 2000. We had lunch at CityPlace in West Palm Beach, FL and the background noise you hear on the tape is from all the activity there. |
